Refund policy

 

 

 

 

This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made by consumers through the VENERE Gallery website.

 

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

 

 

Right of Withdrawal

 

In accordance with Articles 6:230g–6:230z of the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without providing a reason.

 


Withdrawal period


To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us via the contact form available on our website or by email at info@venere-gallery.com or via the contact form within the 14-day withdrawal period. Please include your order number and the item(s) you wish to return.

 

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us at info@venere-gallery.com within the 14-day period, including your order number and description of the item.

 

You will then receive instructions for returning the item.

 

 

Conditions for Return


After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must return the goods without undue delay and in any event within 14 days.

 

You may return the goods to the address provided by us following your withdrawal notification.

Returned items must:

  • Be in their original condition — unworn, unaltered, and undamaged
  • Include all original packaging and accompanying materials
  • Be handled only to the extent necessary to establish their nature and characteristics, as would be permitted in a physical store


Unless the goods are defective or incorrectly supplied, the consumer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods.

We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service.

 

VENERE Gallery is not responsible for loss or damage during return transit.

 

 

Exclusions

 

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized
  • Items altered, resized, or modified at the buyer’s request
  • Returns initiated after the 14-day withdrawal period has expired
  • These exclusions are based on Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code.

 

 

Refunds


If you validly withdraw from the contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including any standard delivery costs (if applicable).


Refund conditions upon valid withdrawal:

  • Refunds will be made using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed with the consumer.
  • Refunds are processed within 14 days after receiving the returned item or proof of return shipment, whichever occurs first

If you chose a delivery method more expensive than the standard option, the additional costs will not be refunded.

As VENERE Gallery offers complimentary shipping, no initial shipping costs are deducted from the refund.

 

If the returned item shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to assess its nature and functioning, a reduction in value may be applied in accordance with Article 6:230s(3) BW.

 

VENERE Gallery is not responsible for delays caused by payment providers.

 

 

Repairs & After-Sales Services

 

VENERE Gallery does not currently provide in-house after-sales services, including resizing, repairs, servicing, polishing or restoration.

 

Upon request, we may recommend independent professionals or workshops. Any services provided by such third parties are carried out under a separate agreement between the customer and the relevant service provider. VENERE Gallery is not responsible for the quality, pricing, or performance of services provided by third parties.

 

Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights in relation to the conformity of goods under applicable consumer protection law.

 

 

Nature of Vintage Items

 

All items sold by VENERE Gallery are vintage or pre-owned.

Minor signs of wear consistent with age are inherent to such pieces and do not constitute defects.

Detailed descriptions and images are provided to reflect the condition of each item as accurately as possible.

 

 

Watches

 

All watches are checked and serviced prior to sale where necessary.

 

Due to their vintage or pre-owned nature, long-term accuracy, water resistance, power reserve and mechanical performance cannot be guaranteed beyond what may reasonably be expected from such items.

 

Variations in timekeeping and signs of wear consistent with age are not considered defects.

 

This does not affect your statutory rights under Dutch law regarding conformity of goods.

 

 

Statutory Warranty

 

Under Dutch and European consumer law, consumers are entitled to receive products that conform to the contract. This means that products must match their description and possess the qualities that may reasonably be expected, taking into account their vintage or pre-owned nature. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights regarding non-conforming goods.

 

 

Legal Framework

 

This policy is drafted in accordance with:

  • Dutch Civil Code (Book 6, Articles 230g–230z)
  • EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU

 

Mandatory consumer protection provisions remain applicable.

Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
